    "abstract" : "Die Ausstellung konzentriert sich auf die mittelalterliche Blütezeit des Ordens. Zahlreiche Objekte wurden eigens für die Ausstellung restauriert und machen zusammen mit Modellen, CAD-Rekonstruktionen, Medien- und Mitmachstationen die Klosterwelt Raum für Raum mit allen Sinnen erlebbar. Zu den Höhepunkten zählt der beeindruckende Hochaltar des ehemaligen Zisterzienserklosters Kamp. Ganz selten nur sind Bildtafeln dieser Zeit in solcher Frische erhalten. Sie werden gemeinsam mit den zugehörigen Skulpturen erstmals wieder in ihrer ursprünglichen Anordnung zu sehen sein. Aus Paris kommt die einzigartige Madonna aus Kloster Eberbach, heute als 'Belle Allemande' eines der mittelalterlichen Hauptwerke des Louvre. Vier als Reliquien verehrte Schädel, reich und kostbar verziert, stammen aus dem Altar des Zisterzienserinnenklosters Marienfeld. Das Grabtuch des Holmger Knutsson, eine lebensgrosse figürliche Bildstickerei, gefertigt von den Nonnen des Skoklosters in Schweden aus dem Nationalmuseum Stockholm ist erstmals ausserhalb Schwedens zu bewundern",
