Wenn an Ihrer Institution eine Publikationsplattform für Open-Access-Erstpublikationen eingerichtet werden soll, stehen Sie vor einer großen Aufgabe und vielen Fragen. Die folgenden Seiten geben einen Überblick über Anforderungen, die Ihre Plattform erfüllen sollte, damit sie von Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern oder Förderinstitutionen als zuverlässig, sicher und qualitativ hochwertig wahrgenommen wird. Die Suche nach der passenden technischen Grundlage kann mitunter zeitraubend und unübersichtlich sein. Daher bietet diese Handreichung einen Überblick über unterschiedliche Systeme mit jeweils einem Anwendungsbeispiel. Dabei werden aber bewusst keine Empfehlungen für die eine oder andere Software ausgesprochen, da jeder Anwendungsfall andere Anforderungen hat. Die im Rahmen des Projekts \"SynOA-Pub\" erarbeiteten Standards sind als Hinweise zu verstehen, worauf beim Aufbau einer Plattform geachtet werden sollte, um den üblichen Bedarf zu erfüllen, Qualitätsstandards einzuhalten und als vertrauenswürdig zu gelten. Dies ist beispielsweise im Hinblick auf die Erlangung des DINI-Zertifikats oder der Erfüllung der Vorgaben aus Plan S wichtig.",
