Es geht nicht mehr nur um Printmedien, sondern auch um Videospiele, E-Medien und vieles mehr. Hinzugekommen sind zahlreiche Angebote, wie Makerspaces, E-Learning und interkulturelle Angebote. Auch bei den Menschen hat sich einiges verändert. Neben Bibliothekar*innen und Bibliotheksassistent*innen arbeiten in Bibliotheken Fachangestellte für Medien- und Informationsdienste (FaMIs), Pädagog*innen, Informatiker*innen und viele mehr. Aus unserer Sicht ist es daher an der Zeit, dass sich auch der Name der vermutlich wichtigsten Veranstaltung für Menschen in und um Bibliotheken verändert. Aus diesem Grund wurde am 23.06.2021 von uns und 15 weiteren Menschen aus Bibliotheken und deren Umfeld eine Petition gestartet." ;
