Living labs offer an error-friendly environment for public policymakers to assess the necessity of political measures, serving as a transformative research approach for generating socially robust knowledge with societal impact. While their potential for sustainability transformation is recognised, the effectiveness of living labs as a tool still needs to be tested, mainly due to their recent introduction.
