    "abstract" : "Ie Entwicklung des ersten synthetischen Farbstoffes Mauveïn brachte 1856 einen Trend ins Rollen, der schnell die ganze Welt erfasste und insbesondere die deutsche chemische Industrie international in Führung brachte. Mit \"Zeitkolorit - Mode und Chemie im Farbenrausch\" präsentiert das Deutsche Textilmuseum in Krefeld Accessoires und Kleider als Chronologie der Farbenchemie. Um den Einfluss der synthetischen Färbemittel in einen kulturhistorischen Kontext setzen zu können, wurde das Weltbunt-Forschungsprojekt ins Leben gerufen, dessen Ende sich mit der Ausstellung des Deutschen Textilmuseum nähert. Der dazugehörige Band legt die unterschiedlichen Facetten der gefärbten Textilien, der synthetischen Färbesubstanzen und die soziologischen Aspekte von Mode und Kleidung dar. Entlang zahlreicher Abbildungen befassen sich verschiedene Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen des Weltbunt-Projektes mit einer breiten Themenpalette von der Entwicklung der Mode, der Alterung und Haltbarkeit von Textilfärbungen über die Sammlungsgeschichte und den Bestimmungsmethoden bis zu den gesundheitlichen Aspekten und auch Risiken von Farbstoffen. Die Essays halten den Wandel der sich entwickelnden Trends durch den zunehmenden Farbenrausch und die Weiterentwicklung der Mode sowie ihren Einfluss auf die Alltags-kultur fest.",
