Das F&E-Projekt zielt in erster Linie auf die Minimierung des Energieverbrauchs und die Verringerung der CO2-Emissionen in horizontalen Schleudergießmaschinen ab. <br><br>Die neue Machine Vision-basierte Smart Cast IoT-Plattform dient als Modell für den Produktionsprozess des Horizontalgießens, eine der wichtigsten und größten Industriezweige der petrochemischen Industrie, lässt sich aber auch auf eine Vielzahl von weiteren Produktionszweigen mit ähnlichen Prozessketten leicht übertragen, wie auf die Metallerzeugung und -verarbeitung (Lang- und Flachprodukte; Stahl, Aluminium, etc.) oder die Verpackungs- und Lebensmittelindustrie.",
