    "description" : "FAST-SMART wird koordiniert von der University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeiten der 13 europäischen Forschungspartner steht die Skalierung neuer Fertigungsprozesse für die Großserienherstellung nanostrukturierter smarter Werkstoffe und deren Implementierung in innovative Systeme zur Rückgewinnung von Energie, die in vielen technischen Systemen als Verlustenergie ungenutzt bleibt. Zur Umsetzung dieser Ziele werden von Projektpartnern neue Strategien zur Verkürzung von Prozessketten für eine bessere Wirtschaftlichkeit und zur Verbesserung notwendiger Werkstoffeigenschaften bei gleichzeitiger Reduzierung seltener Elemente erforscht. Die TH Köln setzt diese in FAST-SMART designten Werkstoffe ein und entwickelt darauf aufbauend wirtschaftliche Fertigungsstrategien zur industriellen Produktion erweiterter Systeme zur Gewinnung erneuerbarer Energien, die eine zusätzliche Nutzung von üblicherweise verlorener Wärmeenergie ermöglichen.",
