Um diese Anforderungen, insbesondere an die mechanischen Eigenschaften, zu erfüllen, ist eine homogene, möglichst eng reproduzierbare Umformung notwendig, die bisher vor allem durch manuelle, zum Teil sehr aufwendige Freiformschmiedeprozesse vor dem abschließenden Gesenkschmieden umgesetzt wird. Die mechanischen Eigenschaften sind dabei vor allem abhängig vom Gefüge. Durch die meist händische Bearbeitung kommt es dabei zu einer Varianz in der Form wie auch beim Gefüge und damit zu großen Unterschieden in der Qualität.<br><br>Ziel des Projektes ist die Entwicklung und Automatisierung einer Freiformschmiedestrategie zur Herstellung von Titanbauteilen mit optimalem Gefüge. Durch die Automatisierung soll dabei eine hohe Reproduzierbarkeit bei gleichzeitiger Ressourceneinsparung erreicht werden. Parallel dazu soll mit Hilfe von Simulationen und Maschinellem Lernen eine Möglichkeit zur Vorhersage des Gefüges für unterschiedliche Bauteilformen geschaffen werden, um so bauteilunabhängig bestmögliche Ergebnisse zu erhalten. Zusätzlich ist geplant, den Prozess des Equal Channel Angular Pressings (ECAP) für Titanwerkstücke mit großem Durchmesser auszulegen und zu testen, um so potentiell weitere Freiformschmiedeschritte einzusparen.",
